Cross country tours

150 km of cross-country slopes through a romantic winter landscape give High Pustertal the best reputation for cross-country skiing. Toblach is the ideal starting point. Various national and international competitions are hosted here. Our hotel is right on the slopes.

From Dobbiaco / Toblach to Cortina 

Along the old railway track, past Lake Toblach (slopes around the lake) Schluderbach and over Gemärk. This run has a wonderful view of the "Drei Zinnen", "Monte Cristallo" and the "Hohen Gaisl". It is 30 km long and the difference in altitude is 250 m.

 

From Dobbiaco / Toblach to San Candido / Innichen

Along the "Drauloipe" (6 km) or the "Marathonloipe" (6 km), both 40 m difference in altitude. This is also the connecting loipe to Sexten.

 

From Dobbiaco / Toblach to Villabassa / Niederdorf

Passing through Altschluderbach and Bad Maistatt, 12 km there and back.
From Niederdorf you can ski to Pragsertal and on further to the Pragser Wildsee, 18 km there and back and a difference in altitude of 280 m.

There are also tracks on the mountains, for example on the Sextner Berg
 (panorama) to the Nemes mountain hut, 16 km there and back and a difference in altitude of 150 m. A breathtaking view of the Dolomites.

Prato Piazza (cross-country itinerary)

 

The cross-country track on Prato Piazza is situated about 2000 m above sea level and is the ideal tour destination for the whole family. The track is perfectly prepared from November to April and guarantees good snow conditions thanks to the high altitude. After the exercise you can rest at the mountain hut and taste a well-deserved typical South Tyrolean specialty. Length: 4 km
